My Deepest Sympathy on Deirdre untimely passing.
My paths crossed with Deridre may times, both Beaumont employees, but I mostly knew her through sport, park run and NBCC. We also had many chats about Uisce as our kids were there around the same time. She was so proud of Megan.
I still can't believe it and only got a picture with her at the park run on the 6th June. She was such a vibrant positive person an inspiration to us all.

So sorry to hear of Deirdre's passing. I've such fond memories of her when she used to mind me when I was a child. Deirdre had such a big heart and was a great fun person. My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to Deirdre's family, many friends and colleagues. I learned so much from Dee. She had the most incredible work ethic and determination ensuring all problems were quickly resolved. At one stage she was on two separate phones ensuring I got my pay check on time! It was such a pleasure to get to know her personally and professionally which is something I will always cherish.

September 1990 I was lucky enough to be added to the Lucozade Killester Women’s Basketball team. Jet lag and Irish accents wrecked me that first weekend. But, that first weekend my teammates and this wonderful person, Deirdre Hoey, took me in and made me family. I never drank so much, stayed up late, loved playing basketball, or laughed all the time, as I did with Deirdre. I think it took me a month before I could say her name correctly. Ha! She was my best Irish friend for many many years. She visited me in Colorado and thought we could go to Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon in a couple of hours. We also laughed about that. Marrying Mr. Right (Wright) never got old, and she loved being a mom. She owes me two rounds of golf at her choice of courses, and one pub crawl. I am devastated to lose her so early and deeply saddened that our “some day” of getting back together isn’t going to happen. Hugs to Dave and Megan and Dee’s family and friends. 💔💔💔

Deepest condolences on the loss of Deirdre. I have had the privilege of working alongside Deirdre for the last number of years in Beaumont. She has always been a fabulous work colleague and friend. I’ve never known anyone as capable of getting a job done! She always went above and beyond to help, and always with incredible energy, positivity and warmth. She will never be forgotten. Just heard of Deirdre's untimely passing. My deepest condolences to Dave, Megan and her wider family. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Deirdre’s passing. She was always so willing to go above and beyond for me and so many others to help us with whatever problem we were facing. It wasn't even 4 years ago that Deirdre joined our cycling club, it feels like we knew her a lot longer than that - in that time she became a proficient cyclist, a group captain, a member of the committee, a regular helper at events and so on. She went on several club trips including to Spain and Portugal - where she made it her business to "persuade" everyone she could to go for a sea swim both in the morning and sometimes even at the end of the day in their cycling gear!! They ran into some very well know professional cyclists one time and despite their protestations that they didn't want to get too close to regular punters like us (due to Covid), one person managed to get several photos of themselves with these guys! She did great work on the committee, helped with some very tedious tasks - nothing was ever a problem. She even dialed into an online meeting from Beaumount not long ago, as she was "too bored" there.
We will remember all the good times with her very fondly, as she was great company to be around. Our hearts are heavy now knowing we will no longer see her show up, with a smile, on a Sunday morning, but we are very grateful to have had her as a member, albeit just not long enough.

My deepest condolences to Dave, Megan and Deirdre’s extended family. Deirdre will be sorely missed. An amazing woman who we will remember for her generosity, kindness and her willingness to help all around her. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dilis.

I had the privilege of working alongside Deirdre, over many years, from her arrival, to my departure.

I also have happy memories of strolling down the fairways of Dublin golf courses with Deirdre in many BH Golf Society, chatting about a range of issues.

Deirdre had that great mix of qualities, being very kind hearted, but also being a ‘straight talker’ when she believed it was required.

Deirdre was an asset to her workplace & a great colleague. She will be greatly missed 😔.

I was very sorry to hear of Deirdre's passing. I met Deirdre just once in the bizarre circumstances of getting a puncture at the Naomh Barrog 100km Blazing Saddles last September. Deirdre was helping out and thought nothing of throwing my bike into the back of her car and she had the job of trying to catch up with my group. We had a chat and a laugh along the way and I could see such a nice lady she was. May Deirdre rest in peace.

Deirdre always was one of the first to offer lifts and help our small girlsclub (which Megan joined years ago). Especially I remember with great fondness our walks and talks along the seafront in Clontarf with the two dogs. Deirdre was not only very sportive, she also was incredible strong and had no problem in handling them both, whereas I sometimes saw myself catapulted in a direction the dog (and not I) wanted to go. We had such laughs as well as sincere discussions and deep chats.

Her incredible energy, love for life and joy was an example to us all. She is and will be greatly missed. It is such a privilege to have been one of her many many friends. Rest in Peace, Deirdre.
