My sincere condolences on the death of Denis. I first met Denis on the ferry into Cape around 1961. I was studying to be a Merchant Marine Radio Officer. Denis initially also trained as a Radio Officer before switching to the navigation side. Over those early years when we met in Cape we always had great conversations about ships we served on and places we visited.

Sincerest condolences to the Daly family from all the Murphy family in Bantry. Denis was a great friend of out father, the late Dr Matt. They were always in discussion about boats , rowing, the sea, and the island connection between Bere island and Cape. No doubt the have resumed their discussions now.
