It was my absolute privilege to know Denis Fisher Snr, who welcomed me into his family when I met his son, my best friend Den. Mr Fisher was a mentor and I am truly grateful to have known him . A true gentleman and devoted family man. Thank you for all the advice and help you gave me in my formative years. I will always be indebted to you and your family. Rest in peace with your beloved Maura once again.
Thinking of you all on the passing of your dad. Mac Partlins - Calderwood
It is with sadness that I learned of Denis’s recent passing. I first met Denis back in the early 1990s at a Molesworth Street gathering of masonic brethren. I took an instant liking to Denis with his affable friendliness, business acumen, wise words and good humour; it was always a pleasure being in his company. A genuinely nice man, as was Denis’s dear and beloved late wife, Maura, whom I also remember as being a delightfully lovely person. I want to extend my sincerest condolences and sympathy to Denis’s sons, Ian, Denis jnr, Noel and to their extended families and to my dear friend Peter, his wife Claudia and to Denis’s lovely granddaughter, Aimee. Denis will be remembered with much respect and affection by me, always.
