Growing up in Ncw in the fifties I often heard of the Hurleys of the Old Mill and indeed my late dad would have known them well. I have a memory of meeting Denis in St. Patricks Purgatry Lough Derg in the 90's. Rest in Peace Denis.

Fond memories of Denis and Maureen visiting our family home and attending family weddings (Maureen being my father’s 1st cousin)
Denis and Maureen called into us in Craughwell on their way back from the Galway Races and Denis continued to do so after Maureen’s passing. We always looked forward to and enjoyed his visit - such a lovely man. He was always so proud of his family.
