Helen & family, so sorry to hear of Denis's recent passing. My Dad & Denis where great friends & I know my Dad treasured their friendship & that he very much enjoyed his company & the many days they enjoyed together on the fairways of Newlands & further afield . I got to meet Denis many times & from the moment I met him it was impossible not to like him, he was a wonderful man, he was friendly, funny, helpful, he listened , put you at ease & was young at heart, a beautiful person, one in a million.

Condolences from the members of Newlands Golf Club to Helen, Philip and the extended Keegan family on the sad passing of a great member. Denis was with us since 1964 and filled many roles, including Captain in 1964. He was a gentleman and a source of wise counsel to many at Newlands over the years. Denis will be sorely missed, may he rest in peace.
