I'm so sorry and sad to hear about Denis and offer my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to his family. We had the great pleasure of Denis' company in Alvor and had many a great sing-song with him in Hickeys Bar. With Hickeys closed, Mum, Mick fom Tipp and now Denis gone, Alvor will never be the same. Truly one of life's great characters - we will miss you Denis. Rest in peace.

When we were young Denis and myself loved music and I bought my first guitar from him which I had for a number of years. Always remember him hanging around with myself and Johnny and up for a laugh at any time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was unable to be in Kilnamanagh this morning but I joined the funeral online and it was a beautiful and moving ceremony.
