I was so very sad to hear of Denis's passing and would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to Sonia Maria and all the Manning family. Denis was such a thorough Gentleman always so kind, sincere and helpful.
He truly was a beautiful person! A good and loyal friend to me and I will miss him dearly.

Sad to hear of Denis's passing. As well as being a good runner, Denis was one of nature's gentlemen. He never had a bad word to say of anybody. May he rest in peace.

In the Open Sports when we would be lining up for the mile race Denis would join us having already competed in the high jump . A great competitor. I have never known a more placid individual and a perfect gentleman . I will miss the Christmas cards and the postcards from Spain .
