Just heard the sad news, my deepest condolences to Lorraine,Daisy,Ethan and the McCarthy family on the sudden passing of Denis ( smiler) Happy days growing up in St. Brendan’s Rd. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Just heard today of the death of Denis. we send our sincere condolence to his wife Lorraine and children .Denis was an absolute gentleman.

Just heard about Denis passing, Sincere condolences to his Family. Denis looked after the Park in Ballinlough for us and always did an amazing Job. The kids would wait for him to beep and wave and he always did with a smile. Rip.

Very sorry to hear of Denis passing.
He used to cut the grass near our house and he was always friendly and waving back at my kids when they used wave at him from our front door.

Heartfelt condolences to Lorraine, your adored children and the McCarthy family on the loss of a true gentleman. My happy memories of Smiler span many years. Wonderful holidays with the Noonan family and Smiler in Cork, Garretstown, Corfu, a Christmas visit to me and my mam in the UK and his mammy made the most delicious Christmas cake "as Denis could not visit empty handed"...to a more recent night in Cork and the craic was mighty as always. Smiler was always kind and gentle and blessed with that irrepressible Cork sense of humour, Smiler go raibh maith agat agus slán.
