Our heartfelt condolences Rose to you, Clive, Ciara, Ronan, all in-laws and extended family members on the very sad passing of your beloved Denis. Apologies that we all did not make it to the funeral to sympathise in person. We remember fondly the lovely chats and laughs exchanged over the years with Denis and many a good night enjoying his company over a drink in the Meadowlands - our late Tim had very good time for Denis always. Denis and I had different politics but we used to have great banter. When I would be driving up Clash, I would give him a beep, and I would get a big cheery wave. Met him in Dunnes one day and we had an old chat. My wife worked with him at the Races and of course he asked if she knew Risteárd and she said she was married to me and he passed some remark about being sorry for her troubles:) He was a lovely man and truly one of nature's gentlemen. Rest Well, Denis. Thinking of Rose, Clive, Ciara, and all his loved ones.
