We just heard the sad news of Denis passing. Remembering all the fun holidays the Flanagan and Walsh families had so many years ago, especially the trip driving through France , the many u turns , Denis and dad throwing each other and all of us in the pool, the complaints department opening times for us kids! We frequently talk about those holidays. Denis and June were such a lovely couple . Sincere condolences to Alex, Ian and Walsh family. Unfortunately we won’t be able to attend funeral . May Denis rest in peace , Kay , Ettie, Helen and Richard

Very sorry to hear the sad news about Denis. A true gentleman. His front garden has been the envy of his neighbours over the years. Many's the good chat we had with Denis & June. He will be missed around the area. Condolences to all the family. May he R.I.P

It’s a while since I’ve seen Denis but I will remember him as a caring and affable Dad/Grandad when our babies were growing up. He always had a ready smile and a solution to a problem. Best wishes to all the family and I hope they can take comfort that he is at peace now. Xx

I am so sorry to learn of the death of my old friend and work colleague from years past. His many acts of kindness to me and so many others will never forgotten. Denis’ passing so soon after his beloved June brings a special sadness to Ian and Alex and families at this time. My sincerest sympathies to you all and I hope you will find comfort in the fact that he livid his spirituality in a quiet humble manner which endeared him to all fortunate enough to have known him - Safely Home Denis my old friend .
