Denis was a true renaissance man, a walking encyclopedia with a wit as sharp as his intellect and sense of humour. His vast knowledge on countless topics was matched only by his generosity in sharing it. I can still hear his trademark “Where?” punctuating every dad joke, followed by that chuckle of his. He had an uncanny ability to turn any conversation into a delightful learning experience, always armed with a relevant book recommendation or a fascinating anecdote.
