To Robin, his sister Mary, the wider Gallagher family and Denise's friends. For many years I only knew Denise as the sister of my favourite teacher. I did not know Denise well but she was always one of those people who you were glad to meet wherever you met her. Some years ago I had the benefit of her calm expertise and kindness when trying to persuade my daughter it was a good idea to go in to the dentist while Denise was working in Lusk, a role I am sure she performed for countless others when they were nervous. Rest in Peace Denise.

I find myself joining so many former colleagues from National Irish Bank paying tribute here to Denise. She was a "one-off". I remember her as kind, conscientious, dedicated to her family and with a unique take on the world around her. Her sense of fun was as gentle as she was herself. May she rest in peace.
