Denise was a wonderful woman who gave so much to her community, and she will always be remembered for her outstanding contribution to Midleton FC, where her passion for sport helped establish and grow women’s football. I am so sorry to hear of Denise's passing. My heartfelt condolences to Charlie, Charley and Alex as well as to her mum, sister, brother and extended family. I worked with Denise for several years in HSE.

She kept us entertained with many a story, but she offered a listening ear as well. Her passion for women's football was evident as was her driving force to improve it. But her love for her family was even more evident. She was so proud of her children and we were regularly treated to stories about them. The workplace was always much brighter with her around.
