Dennis was a big support for club over the years and became a member. He was always so positive with a you can do it attitude. He will be very sadly missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dennis passing. Although it has been some time since we were in touch, I remember the him very fondly from Sandymount and the impact the had on my life.

On behalf of the members of Dun Laoghaire Choral Society (DLCS), I would like to express our deep sympathy to his family and friends on their deep loss. Dennis brought humour and fun to the choir along with many anecdotes from his past life, always engaging to the listener. His attachment to his origins in Newcastle on Tyne was always evident. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to learn that Dennis has gone from us. It seemed only yesterday that he was at lunch in the 'George' on a Friday or sipping wine during a Wine Club session. But then I realise that he has been out of action for over a year now.
He was a wise man and such good company. A great raconteur and full of stories about the music business. He will be missed.

I was very sorry to hear the sad news. I sailed with him and greatly enjoyed his company. He was witty and funny and would leave everyone in good humour and good heart.
Sincerest condolences to Deirdre and the family. We travelled many miles together on our boats to France and Spain. Dennis was always great company and a skilled navigator. He was also a film buff and curated the very well supported film nights in the ‘George. A terrific member and friend. Brían and Heather.
I served with Dennis on the committee of the Cruising Association of Ireland. He spoke his truth clearly, and always with great respect. He was a real gentleman and an example to us all. We shall miss him.
