To Dereck’s family please accept my deepest sympathy on his passing. He was a great character and I remember many a great conversation involving Dereck and his later father Frank … Dereck was to suits what Frank was to shoes … suffice to say it was a joy to be in their company and it was clear that the apple never fell far from the tree! Dereck you were unreal.. the cigar and tape around your neck.. we had many great years of laughter together.. with Joe & Steve as back up acts.. to all your family I offer my sincere condolences.Rest in Peace Dereck
Condolences to all Dereck’s family and friends.I first met Dereck back in 1979/1980 before he ventured into the retail clothing field. We worked together for Allied Windows/APA.I can still see him standing tall, long hair and blue three piece suit. It’s no wonder he went down the path of sales/retail as he was so pleasant, smart and so well dressed he always looked the part even at 18/19 years old,lol while the rest of us were in jeans ,trainers and sweatshirts. Himself and his friend Fergus McCormack always looked the sharpest of that motley crew back in the late 1970’s. I spoke to some of his old work mates from that times ,Barry Walsh,John Henry to mention two and each had the same comment,he was a lovely guy.
Our sympathies to William and Caroline.
