Dear Clare,
It was never a day out at the races until me and dad [Noel] met Derek and Clare. Very very sad to receive the news today that Derek had passed on. Very fond memories of us having a bet and an auld jar. I've instructed Mary Lou to give you a big hug from me tomorrow - I live in Thailand now and sadly I can't be there to pay my respects. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
