I am so saddened to hear of the loss of my Dear Friend Derek. He has been in my life for the past twenty years. Kind, caring , and an absolutely lovely man whose company was always a pleasure.
I know how much he dearly loved his family and how much they all loved him In Return.

Last time I saw him, he was smoking up your kitchen with a glass of wine in his hand, while cracking dad jokes. I was shocked to hear of Derek's death having recently chatted with him at the funeral of another colleague. Derek was great to interface with at work, always positive, with a problem solving mindset. I also had the pleasure of working with him overseas post Aer Lingus days. It was with great sadness that I heard of the sudden death of Derek. I worked closely with Derek from the mid-nineties until his retirement and he was an amazing colleague and friend. A dedicated aviation professional who could always be relied upon. He will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and a loving father, Derek Clements. There is so much to say about this remarkable man a friend with an endless font of humour and kindness, whose loyalty and devotion to his family and wide circle of friends touched everyone he met. His presence brought light and laughter, and his absence leaves a silence that echoes deeply in our hearts.
He will be painfully missed.
