Just heard of your Dad's death - Can't believe it!

He was wonderful (As was your Mam) to me, as I became this Nordy stray, who somehow, for some reason, ended up practically living with all you guys on/off for quite a while.

I'll always remember the kindness your family showed me, and I wish each and every one of you a happy and peaceful life, with the best memories of your Dad.

We're so sad to hear of Derek's passing, we hadn't heard about Jean's death until now and want to extend our sincerest condolences to all their family.

Although I knew Derek going back it is only recently as a Neighbour that we really got to enjoy the chats and banter with Derek. We loved seeing him out and one or other of us would cross the road for a chat. We always came back in with a smile on our faces. Dwane, Robbie, Leah and Aaron we will miss him as I know you will. ...and from the Dunne cousins who also pass on their sympathies.

Derek was a wonderful neighbour, always time for a chat and always a laugh to be had. Last time we spoke he told me about his kids, he was a proud man.

Derek's shop was a regular gathering of great characters, all from different backgrounds, all with different views, but all with a common fondness and love for Derek.
