Shocked to hear of Derek's sudden passing. We were good mates back in Brendan's & always had great chats & banter anytime we met around Arklow over the years, most recently only about 6 weeks ago in Tesco! He was in great form. So very sad for Sharon & the kids to lose him so early. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with Derek for nearly 3 years. Always there to cheer us up in the office with the odd joke to keep us going. Chocolate bars at the ready for whoever needed them. He was very proud of his family. Condolences to Sharon, Ailish, Eoghan and Cora.

Even though I only knew Derek for a short time, he made a big impression. He was quick with a joke, easy to be around, and always showed how much he cared for his family and those close to him. Sending condolences to all.
