Derek Harrington

I have only now just heard of Derek”s passing. My heart is so saddened. I first met Derek in my late teens and from the moment I met him I just loved him. He was so friendly, kind and funny. And wow, could he sing and play music. My self and my friend Mary followed Glass Apple for years. Getting dressed up and heading of to hear the band play and see Derek was the highlight of my week. We had some great sing songs which you were part of in my family home, great chats and laughs. I send my condolences to all the Harrington family. Be free now Derek and at peace. I will never forget you. X

We're so sorry to hear of Derek's death and we are thinking of you, Paul, and your brothers and sisters at this very sad time. Derek gave a beautiful and unforgettable performance of The Beatles song, The Long and Winding Road, at my sister Mary's funeral in 1994 and it brought me such comfort at the time. I have thought of it often over the years and it was truly special and I am so grateful to Derek for that memory. May he rest in peace.
