He was a true gentleman and generous soul.

I do recall growing up over the years in the Laurels and the fun times we all had. Particularly with the Doc and Mary.

The great fun backing horses with Peter and the lads in the local.

The memories we will never forget.

I was so sad to hear about Derek’s passing. He was such a big part of my childhood growing up.

I spent so much time with your family growing up, from trips away to everyday life, and Derek was always there — great fun, kind, and so generous. I’ve so many memories of him putting up with me and Nicky in the car driving us everywhere! always happy to help and always in good form.

Even later on, that kindness never changed. When I bought my new home, Derek stepped in and sorted all my windows without a second thought. It meant a lot to me and my family at the time.
