I was deeply saddened to hear about Derek's passing, I have many fond memories with Derek and he always had the time to stop and have a chat whenever I met him, a true gentleman, now gone but never forgotten, your old friend Nick O'Brien.
Derek, my thoughts are with you and your family. It's been years since I last spoke to you, but you will always be the first best friend I ever had. I hope you are at peace my friend. John
