To my gorgeous little brother Derek

Growing up together we fought, we laughed, we cried… but it was always that cheeky smile that shone through.
I treasure the memories I have of you, from our family trips, dancing competitions, fun nights out, Coldplay concerts, becoming
parents and most of all your love for Dean,
Dylan, DJ and princess Kenzie.
You have left a legacy in what you achieved in your career.
There was no one like you!
I feel lost in many ways because you are not here today but I will never forget you.
I know I have been blessed
to have had you as my Brother.
“You will always be our star in a sky full of stars”🌟
Love always from your big sister 💕
Derek my best friend
Until we meet again
Those special memories of you will always bring a smile if only i could have u back for just a little while.
Then we could sit and talk to you just like we use to do.
You always meant so very much and always will too. The fact thay your no longer here will always cause me pain.
But your forever in my heart until we meet again ❤️
You will never walk alone and you will always be the man in the moon 🌙 as i tell my little boy Toby that he has someone very special guiding and minding him 💙
Until we meet again. Those special memories of you will always bring a smile,if only i could have you back, for just a little while then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do.you always meant so very much and always will too . The fact that your no longer here will always cause me pain but you're forever in my heart until we meet again. Rest in peace my good friend 💔
Derek,

Growing up with you was a gift I'll cherish forever. You weren't just my brother; you were my closest friend, partner in mischief on our unconventional roadtrips sitting in the boot of the car, our fun nights out in 'The Foundry' and of course my fellow dancer extraordinaire.Remember those hilarious standoffs on the dance floor because of our endearing stubborn streak. It was a privilege and honour to be your dance partner Derek, I will treasure those memories even when you stood on my feet on purpose. Dean, Dylan, DJ, and Kenzie were a testament to your love and dedication as a dad, they were your pride and joy, just as you were the best Godfather to Josh and Uncle to Adam—they looked up to you with admiration. Your kindness and compassion touched so many lives, mine included, always looking out for me over the years. You were so determined, what you achieved in your life both personally and in your career is utterly amazing and I was always so proud of you. The world seems quieter now without your voice and the warmth of your smile. Always know you were loved deeply and are missed everyday.
Shine bright among the stars, and know you're always with me.
You'll Never Walk Alone, sweet dreams bro.
All my love,
Your little sis
♥️🤍♥️🤍
Derek our beloved son.
Something will remind us, we never know when, it might be something someone says and it all comes back again.
The times we spent together, the happiness, the fun. Once again we feel the pain of life without our son.
It's said that time's a healer, we're not sure this is true, there's not a day goes by son that we don't think of you.
Derek, you will forever be in our hearts.
We love you Always ♥️
I have known and worked with Derek for 25 years through Tesco where we were mngrs together and always enjoyed Derek’s company and was only talking to him recently where we agreed to meet up, very sad to not have met and devastated for the loss of such a decent guy. My thoughts are with you John and the whole family at this awful time. RIP Derek
Kay and Joe my thoughts are with you both.I first worked with Derek in Quinnsworth when I hired him to do the town deliveries with Perth. That was some combination .There was alot of deliveries went to the wrong houses in their time together.Derek was a good guy and a great worker.I always had the crack with him in later years about Liverpool .Derek also done his bit for charity. One of his events was a soccer match in Rathnews pitch tesco legends v Tesco Bray great crack before and after game with Derek.
Sincere condolences to Joe, Kaye, John, Margaret, Richard, Caitriona and the extended Nolan family on the sad and untimely passing of Derek. He will always be a bright star shining for you all. May Derek Rest in Peace.
From school days to nights out, your gold BMW, your “out there” dress sense that only you could get away with, Liverpool v Man Utd. matches, weddings, becoming Dads, and many great occasions in between. I was fortunate to experience all of this as your friend
Mr. Nolan! We have few go-to friends that we want to call at major milestones in life & you were one of those friends to me. One of the things you became known for over the years was affectionately calling people you knew by Mr., Mrs. or Miss, and funnily enough, I believe your nickname in Circle K was Mr. Retail, very fitting considering what you achieved and your dedication & passion for the business over almost 30 years. You worked so hard right from your school days to get the best out of life & while your life has been cut way too short, you surely got the most out of it and achieved and experienced an unbelievable amount in that time while also helping those around you to do the same. To Joe, Kaye, John, Mags, Richard, Cathy, Dean, Dillon, DJ and Kenzie, I am so sorry for the massive loss you are experiencing but I know you are and should be so very proud of the person that Derek was. Anytime I talked to Derek on the phone over the last number of years the call would always end with him saying “keep in touch” so I’ll finish by saying I’ll miss you buddy, keep in touch, from your old friend Mr. O’Toole and of course Mrs. O’Toole, Ciara & Emily xxx
Condolences to all .
Sincere sympathy to my brother Joe Kaye John Margaret caitriona & Richard on the sad passing of Derek. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Deepest heartfelt condolences to Derek’s family, I just can’t imagine the immense sadness you are going through, it’s still so hard to believe Derek is not here, everyday still expecting Derek to peep over his screen and say good morning in the office, I’ve known Derek over 20 years from Tesco to Circle K, but more so everyday for the last 8 years in Circle K working together on the leadership team, these are difficult times knowing that’s changed, but great to remember that we had a blast, we all built great trust and great friendships, work hard, play hard.

You’ll never walk alone Derek, you’ll forever be missed.

You’ll live on through your 4 fabulous children. Sending your family lots of strength, Rest in Peace xx
Its been a privilege to be your friend Derek since 1993. That cheeky, happy go lucky smile and approach took you to places most can only ever aspire to. Your parents can only ever be proud of all that you be achieved but most of all because of the person you have become. As your friend, i enjoyed the career sparring we had, the craic on the nights outs, the spilt drinks and the scrapes we would get into. I'll miss you beyind words, it doesnt feel real to not have you winding everyone up in the whatsapp group and I'm so sorry we never got that reunion night sorted in the end. What I do know is, you'll have to travel a long, long way to find another like you, Derek. If the world had more like Derek, this world would be a much better place. I will always miss you, Clink, and I'll see you in the next life for more escapades.
Sincere condolences to all Derek's family and friends at this sad time. Rest in peace.
Derek Nolan was a great guy. I enjoyed working with him at Tesco. I always learned a lot from him on every store visit. He could read a room and well and always knew when and how to lighten the mood. A sound man and a good man.

I worked with Derek and his brother John in Tesco many years ago . I bumped into Derek in the Coca-Cola box in Croke park a few years ago and we had great craic and a few drinks , he was great company and will be sorely missed . My deepest condolences to all the family.
I am Devastated to hear of the passing of Derek. I started in Quinnsworth Arklow with Derek in October 1996. When I met Derek the first thing I seen was this cheeky chap with a smile that would light up every room he walked into. There was never a dull moment everyday we worked together. I could see he had drive and he worked his way up to become store manager at a very young age. He was my manager in Tesco Gorey. His brother John took over from him in Gorey, who I had the pleasure working with aswell. During his career he moved into Circle K. He was a force to be reckoned with. Derek, we used to have the best of times together and you will always be in my heart and my thoughts everyday and you will be missed. My condolences to Dereks family and relatives. This is a very sad time.
