Dear Anita, Jean & family,

I was very saddened to hear of your Dad’s/ Derek's passing. He was such a gentle and kind man. He brought a sense a calm to the room, which two 16 year old girls often needed! He will be a great loss to your very close knit family and to all of his friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very sad time. Rest in peace Mr. Beswick (forever his name to me).

X Tara, Rachel & Teddy.

It was with sorrow and sadness that we learnt of the passing of our old friend and neighbour Derek Bewick. Derek was a most kind caring and thoughtful person always ready to lend a helping hand in whatever way he could, (especially when our ancient TV acted up.)
We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his beloved Wife Jean and his children Sandra, Karen, Paul and Anita on their tragic loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May Derek rest in peace.

Much love to Jean, Anita, Sandra, Karen & Paul from an old Watermill Grover on the very sad passing of Derek. I've many happy memories of Derek - THAT room at the front of the house stacked from floor to ceiling with bits of TVs. That place intrigued me! It was like a jenga of transistors. The Yorkshire puds, I tried to time it right when calling in for Anita, the smells were a dead giveaway. It's been a pleasure to have known you. RIP Derek - Clare Cashin/Shiels x

To Jean and family, it is with a heavy heart I type this message. I have fond memories of the time in the Beswick household in Old Bawn when I first moved to Ireland and Derek took a young green English man under his wing in the big smoke, I remember that the kitchen always had some kind of electronics dismantled and under repair. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time a great loss to everyone.
