To all of the Pugh family, Derek was my first manager in Digifone. A very friendly and compassionate man. Got to see the Fatherly side of Derek when he brought the girls into the office coming/going to school and enjoyed many laughs with himself and Eileen at many a Digifone Christmas party. A lovely family. I am very sorry for your loss.

Sincerest condolences to all Derek's family and to Catherine, Paddy, Gary and Margaret. We were next door neighbours in Elmwood Ave and a nicer and lovelier family you could not meet. So sorry for your loss.

Derek was a big man, in the true sense of the word. He was very welcoming to me when I first came to Ireland and joined him in Digifone back in May 96. We shared the car journey into work and had many laughs, celebrations and battles together before leaving O2 at the same time. Sadly drifted since but always only one call or text away. Rest in Peace Derek. Heartfelt condolences to Eileen and your four daughters , one of which I think we used to drop to school.
