Dermot 'Dobs' O'BRIEN

I am so sorry to hear of Dermot's passing. I shared a ward with him in UHL & he was such good company. We had some great laughs & Dermot was such a positive, good humoured character, in spite of his illness & was often prone to spontaneous sing songs. My sincere sympathies to his family & may he Rest in Peace.

The love he had for his family but especially your lovely mam and how he looked after her and loved her was so special and proved to many of us that true love can exist. We will miss him so much on your stories but you have allowed us to have some memories of a remarkable man. Dermot was our tour guide but he became our friend. He proudly showed us all over Ireland. I believe he knew everyone in Ireland! He was so kind and so enthusiastic . Lorna and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
