Sorry to read of Dermot's passing and my sincere sympathy to his family. I remember Dermot from his days in Irish National in the IT Department. He was the first person to show me how to access the internet. You never forget moments like that.

I was lucky enough over those years to play on winning teams and serve on Committee with Dermot. I will always be grateful to him for his help, hard work and support during my Captaincy. Just heard the news of Dermot’s death. So Sad. It seems so long ago now since I played football with the twins. Very good footballers and two great characters. My condolences to Gear, Gay and all the McCabe family.

Ray, Margaret and all the McCabe family on the sad death of Dermot. He was a great pal to us both in our younger days. From helping a wee boy from Belfast integrate in to Tallaght Co Dublin!, to football, hiking, folk group and a chauffeur to work on the back of his motor bike. He will be sadly missed. Hope your happy memories of him help you in the times to come. Rest in peace Dermot.

So sorry to hear of Dermot's death. I have such happy memories of the Wednesday night practices in the Aula Secunda, Tallaght Priory for our weekly Folk Mass on Sundays. As well as music we shared jokes, craic and good company along with Ray, Helen, Eileen and so many great ( in those days!) young people. Rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Dermot's passing. I knew Dermot through work and golf. He encouraged me to join Woodlands. I appreciated his humour. I remember him rescuing me from some aggressive golfers at Seapoint and him saying,"Stewie, they always pick on the runt of the litter."

My sincere condolences to Dermot’s family. I worked with Dermot in Irish National /Eagle star. Later in life, Dermot introduced me to golf and we enjoyed many rounds together. I was very sorry to hear this news and may he now rest peacefully.

Condolences to everyone concerted. I worked with Dermot in INI going back to early 90’s. He was a dapper man back then. His moustache and keen sense of dress. Was impeccable in his suits. Just back from a time in South Africa. He was chief programmer. I met the lovely Bernie back then in the Duke and we discussed menus. Off the Internet which was a new thing back then. InI was sold and the next time I met Dermot was as a taxi driver. Turns out we were distantly related. He was a character. One that we all enjoyed. In hindsight. Love to all the family and friends. Missing him tonight. Sorry for your loss.

I remember himself and Ray as one of the three sets of twins in the St Dominic's (Thomas Davises) under 13 team of the late 1960s. Dermot will be included in the prayers of the 10.00am Mass of this week in St Aengus's church, Tallaght.
