Augusta, i was so sad to hear that Dermot has passed away.
I knew him from his time in the Horse & Hound in Cabinteely. He was a super barman, good fun, friendly and efficient and always with that lovely smile.
My deepest sympathy to you and the family at this sad time.
May Dermot rest in peace.

I'll always remember his impression of Micheal O'Muircheartaigh. Sums up how he was so adept at bringing a smile to the faces of the people he met. RIP Dermo

Augusta and family, what wonderful times we had with you all growing up. It was a pleasure to know Dermot and the character he was both in youth and the later years. Very sad to hear the news of Dermot’s passing. He was a wonderful kind man. I have many memories of growing up with the whole McCawley family. Playing in the lane way beside our house with box carts made from old prams. Cycling up and down the paths at full speed on our 3 wheel bikes . Great memories may he rest in peace .

I didn't get enough time to spend with my lovely cousin Dermot but whenever we were together he made me laugh a lot! He was a fount of all knowledge - especially on sporting matters - so you were never short of conversation or hilarious stories. He lightened up all our lives and we were always happy to see him.
