DERMOT McGRATH

I spent many school evenings in the McGrath house with Declan. Dermot was always kind, smart, and funny. He was a brilliant analyser, writer, and educator. My thoughts and prayers are with the McGrath family. May Dermot rest in peace.

I am very sorry to hear of Dermot's passing. I have great memories of him from our schooldays both primary and secondary, playing football for Thomas Davis and talking sport & current affairs over a pint in The Dragon. Dermot was an absolute gentleman, and an all round lovely guy who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to Sandrine, Julie, Mathieu and the wider Mc Grath family. He brought joy to his friends in Cork, when he lived here and studied in UCC with the late Dr Jennifer O'Reilly, who always remembered him with affection and respect.
