A huge thanks to Dermot for passing on the great Dublin GAA tradition to a whole generation at An Caislean. Dermot and Betty were great friends to my mother and a huge support to her after her health failed- we are very grateful to them for that. Our deepest sympathies to the O Carroll family. Sincere condolences to all the O'Carroll family from all the Corbett family. We remember Dermot with great fondness. He was a gentleman, naturally good-humoured and witty. Dermot was on Maura's Canasta team. They often lost to Betty and Joe but Dermot never lost his smile and good humour. Dermot sang at one of Maura's children's weddings and had backing singers providing the "Whooo, Whooo" at Dermot's signal in perfect harmony. It was fabulous and hilarious and a wonderful memory. May he rest in peace.

I remember the great times we had as kids at your home in Walkinstown and most of all I remember being brought to Dublin games in all parts of the country.
