Our sincere condolences to the Quinn family on the sudden passing of Dermot. He was one of St. Fintan’s High School’s earliest pupils and we were delighted when he took part in our 75th Anniversary celebrations in 2018. Dermot will remain an important part of the history of our school. May he rest in peace.

Irene, what can we say except that our thoughts and prayers are with you, Helen and Stephen at this very sudden and sad time. We were unable to be at his funeral Mass but attended it on line. May his soul and Brendan's and Eithne's rest in peace. Sutton Tennis Club will never be the same again without the Quinn brothers. Ann & Brenda.

Irene and family, I only learned today of Dermot's sudden death and wish to convey my sincere sympathy to all of you. I knew Dermot for many years through the Howth Heritage Society. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Deepest condolences to you Irene, and Stephen and Helen, and all Dermot's relatives at this very sad time. Dermot was "Mr. Sutton" with a deep interest in and knowledge of the Sutton and Howth areas. He contributed most generously to the community in so many ways and he will be greatly missed. No doubt, he is now busy in heaven showing new arrivals to their places and, when not doing that, he will be regaling his new heavenly community with many stories of his time on earth which he used to benefit his family and the community. May he rest now in the peace of Christ.

It it with great sadness that we heard of Dermot’s passing. Along with his late brother Brendan he was a guiding hand in Sutton Tennus club where we spent many happy years. Irene and Dermot welcomed us to their home on many occasions after our journey from Tullamore and we were grateful for their hospitality.

My sincere sympathies to the Quinn family. Dermot will be really missed by all of us ordinary members of the Howth Peninsula Heritage Society. We could sit back and enjoy the monthly lectures, knowing that our courteous, capable and hard-working Secretary had it all under control. He was that rare person who made a difference within his community.

So very sorry to hear of Dermot's untimely passing. He was a thorough gentleman, honest to a fault, and genuinely supportive in all aspects of his life.
