Our condolences to Anne and family. Dessie was a great character who formed the “terrible twins” with his pal, Vincent Dillon. Always up for a laugh and a bit of fun.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Ah what can I say about Dessie! He was one of the best and a true gentleman. He was a very kind man and always looking out for others. This kindness and warmth was mixed with quite a large sprinkling of divilment! He was one of the best chauffeurs to Tamangos (and work the next morning) back in the day and always tolerated the ‘giddy’ young women in the car with him.

He adored the three woman in his life and that true love and pride was extended to his grandchildren on their arrival. May Dessie’s kind soul rest in peace. Take care of each other over the coming weeks and months ahead xx

Our sincere condolences to Claire Anne, your mam and family on your dads sad passing. May his holy soul rest in peace.
I have so many fond childhood memories of Dessie, a warm and funny next door neighbour Dad. His patience on Saturday mornings when we serenaded his lie-in at the tops of our voices with the Banana Splits theme tune. His divilment when he packed the glovebox of his car with contraband sweets just for himself. Dessie and my Dad tinkering with cars in the 70s, huddled under a bonnet having a chat and a laugh. My sincerest condolences to Anne, Sharon and Claireanne on his loss x
