Des Kelly

Deeply moved now by the memory of a great friendship many years ago and some wonderful experiences back then relative to Des's music career. His heart never left Galway, his friends were legion and all who knew him admired him for the gentleman that he was. Condolences to Maura, always a lovely lady.

Thinking of you all during this very sad time. Spending time in your home when I was younger Des was always so welcoming, fun & engaging. The dinners and music were always great and truly unique. I have so many happy memories of that time.

God Bless you Des. May you be rewarded in Heaven for all the happiness and joy that you brought in your life to so many who knew and admired you. It was you who were responsible for myself, and The Memories, taking the final step in making music our professional career.

Des was our Best Man here in Ibiza in 1972, and was always a joy to meet for a catch up.
Sorry we couldn't make it to Galway, but we shall remember Des at Mass in San Antonio in the coming days.
