Sincere sympathy to you Loretta and all the Moore family on the sad passing of Des. Des was a great colleague in DPE and you may recall, we tried to solve the world's problems while waiting for the Dart at Raheny Station! Des was a great Union Rep and worked very hard on behalf of his colleagues. May he Rest in Peace.

Very sorry to hear of Des’s passing so soon.Sincere condolences to Loretta and all his family. He always had the best interest of members at heart though we often disagreed about how to do that.

Loretta, I only heard of Des's passing on the 4th June. I'm so so sorry that you have lost such a lovely kind, funny, intelligent Husband and life partner. I'm really sad that I could not attend the Crematorium service. Des had a great love and knowledge of Blues music and came to all the Fat Chance and our other band's gigs in JJs and all over Dublin. He was always great fun and will be missed by everyone who ever had the privilege to know him. A Gas man! Tony Ronan, Palmerstown.

I was so sorry to hear of the death of Des. Des was my manager many moons ago in Dept of Public Enterprise and was so patient, supportive and kind to me from the day I joined. I think of him often with great fondness as he was a wonderful example of how to be a really respectful manager. He was a true gentleman and my sympathies to Loretta and all the family on your loss.
