On my return to West Cork, I was saddened to hear of Dessie's passing. My deepest sympathy to Maura, Jimmy, Colm, Trina and Adrian.

I had the good fortune to be one of Dessie's colleagues at Coachford College in the 90s.(I distinctly remember how brilliant you were at English Jimmy).Dessie was a tonic in the staffroom .Such an amicable, interesting,wise & witty man. A great man to have in your corner.I was shocked & saddened to hear he has passed away.Sincere sympathy to you all.
