Dessie was a wonderful man & much loved — it was always a pleasure to meet him, whether down at the football pitch, on walks around Home Farm, or at our Christmas Day swims in Blackrock, memories you will always cherish.

Greg, we know how incredibly close you all are, and how much he meant to you. You can be so proud of the bond you shared and the legacy of kindness, warmth, and community he leaves behind. You truly were best friends.

Sincere condolences to the Cleary family on the passing of your patriarch. My memories of Desie go back 59 years when we were both at Trench House and Desie and I shared the same digs at Maisie's. Three of us, Sean Feeny, Desie and I boarded with Maisie, and Desie was the 'baby' of the group. We had a lot of fun together and all graduated in 1966 - and then went our separate ways.
