It is with deep sadness that we learn of Des passing today. He was a great and kind friend, the most gentle of gentlemen. Heartfelt sympathy to the Doyle family especially Christopher, Claire, Ruth and John. May he rest in Peace
We are saddened to hear of Des's passing. He was an absolute gentleman, a friend and good neighbour. May he rest in peace.
I meet Des on many occasions . He was a lovely man , educated full of fun. But most of all he was my Dads best friend. During my fathers illness he visited him many many times always cheering him up. He came to the Beacon Hospital to support my family on the morning my dad , Paddy Lavin died. A wonderful friend indeed. He was also very supportive of my mother after dads death , another great friend of his from Roscommon. On many occasions I collected my mother from Churchtown , after they had lunch and a long chat. With Des death I know my mum feels it's the end of an era. Please accept my sincere condolences at this sad time for the family. Siobhan Cassidy.
