So sad to hear about Des , he was a truly wonderful person. Many a great conversation was had over the years. May he RIP.

I was really sad to hear of Des’s recent passing. I knew him from the days of being in Bord Gáis. He also is a neighbour as my house backs on to his so he would often shout over when I would be up washing my windows or in the garden. He was a funny, kind and nice person. As many people have said he was a gentleman. Isn’t it nice to know he leaves great memories behind for those who loved him to cherish. His was a life well lived and he leaves a legacy of memories of his warmth, goodness and kindness. Thinking of his much loved wife and extended family.

My condolence to margret patty and maureen des was one of the good ones a great friend des never wanted the limelight but when des spoke you listened ill miss the trips away the conversations in cusacks how proud you were of keith but kept to urself you were one in a million ill miss you my friend our taxi trips home and not to forget ur funny one liners rip des you were a legend and will never be forgotten.
