He will be truly missed in the golf club,he was a true gent, keen to talk about his round but equally a good listener on how others rounds played out. We talked many times about a 9 hole scramble when we had 7 birdies and beat the rest with ease. On the course Desy always gave feedback and encouragement to all levels if golfers, his spirit will live on in St Margarets RIP Desy

As a gp in the Artane Beaumont area for more than 40 years I can truly say that Desy. stood out as a remarkable human being,a gentleman and a fantastic family man.A person who cared deeply about other people especially young people starting their careers and and fine golfer.His family can be truly proud of him

Very sad to hear the news of Desy’s passing. I met him through business around 20 years ago, and he became a true friend. I have fond memories of the great times we enjoyed together, quite a few of those on various golf courses.
