Very saddened to hear of Diarmuid’s death. I always looked forward to running into him in CB Street. Invariably brought light into the day. He will be sorely missed by students and colleagues.

Anne, I am so sorry for your loss. Just heard the news and can still hardly believe it. Doesn’t seem that long since we met and you were all heading over to the UK for Christmas the next day. Such a great family! Thinking of you all.

My deepest condolences to your family. Diarmuid was my gastronomy lecturer and thesis supervisor in DIT. He made every lecture a pleasure to be part of and always went above and beyond to ensure we gained valuable knowledge. On a personal note, he was amazing at inspiring me and I will be forever grateful for his guidance and unwavering commitment to my work.
