My memories of Diarmuid is a quiet respectful guy who could be very witty. Im sure me and his sister Joanne annoyed him many a time on sleepovers and holidays so he might not have felt same about me! Dear Diarmuid,

After decades of friendship, I am devastated to learn about your sudden passing. I am however thankful for the fact that we could always rely on each other over the years - for a friendly listening ear, understanding, grace, fellowship, a joke or two. Now there is deafening silence.

I am thinking of your family, friends, of Sammy. You told me often about how much you love them and worry about them. You had such a kind soul, so much love for all animals. We had so much in common and I hope I told you often enough how much I appreciate you as my friend, as a person, and what an impact you made on my life.

I wish to offer my condolences to your family and friends in this very difficult time, what a devastating loss. You were such a wonderful and special person to me. I will miss you dearly.

My deepest condolences to Tommy, Tina and all the siblings. A really sad time for the family. Diarmuid has 8 siblings but I am so honoured that he still thought of me as a little sister. The best compliment. We have memories, stories and jokes that will live on forever. May he rest in eternal peace, he will be in my heart forever ❤️
