I recall with great fondness growing up on Main Street and meeting Dick, May and family regularly. Such a charming and welcoming businessman with a strong community outreach. May he RIP. So sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. Such a kind man. I’ve lovely memories of visiting the shop and his big smile. He always gave me 50p for my holidays! I bumped into him many times when I was home and he always remembered me. He kindly invited mum (Phil) and me for tea - we had a great time reminiscing.
