My deep condolences to Chris, Caroline, Christine, Sally, Lisa, and all of Richard's Loved Ones. I was so sorry to learn of his passing. He was great fun in my one visit to Ireland, way back in '79. I recall, when I spoke of my fandom for singer Debbie Harry, Richard excitedly replied, "oh, Blondie! I know her! She's a Punk!", and then he proceeded to hop about as a punk rocker might. And how kind he was to teach me the art of cow-tipping, as well as how fast to run away, afterward! A Prince of Shenanigans, for sure. I always wished to return, and check in on him. By all accounts, he did live his life well. May He Rest In Peace. 🙏

I only really got to know Dick well when he started using the wheelchair due to his condition. A lovely young man, always friendly and loved the chat. He had an amazing positive approach about his illness and he was so accepting of the major operation he may have to undergo. I will miss you Dick, your smile and friendly chat about town. May you now rest in the peace and light of heaven.
