We got to know Delores over 20 years ago through the happy hobby of ballroom dancing. She was such a warm and fun lady, and welcomed us into her homes in Blackrock and Portroe on many occasions. While we haven’t met Delores for a few years I can still hear her infectious laugh and see her mischievous smile. Rest in Peace lovely lady x

My sincere sympathies to all of the Collins family on the passing of Dolores. She was an exceptional lady and great company. I remember our pilgrim visit to the Holy Land a number of years ago as if it were only yesterday; we shared so many things during that time. Dolores always had a smile and her face would light up when one met her - what a great lady and how blessed one was to have known her. My apologies I was unable to make her funeral mass to meet the family individually. May she rest in peace. Amen

I remember her first visit to our family home in Nenagh many years ago, when she was engaged to Paddy (our mother's cousin). She was beautiful. Her smile lit up the room then, and it always did on her many visits afterwards.

In more recent times Delores came to my rescue when my husband was a patient in the Blackrock Clinic for a few weeks. She invited me to stay with her for the duration. I accepted her offer and I looked forward to joining her and her grandson Alex in the evenings. She was great company.
She was a kind, loving and caring woman. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Only meeting Dolores a handful of times was enough to know how special and kind a lady she was. She was a Saint and so good to her family, I know David thought the absolute world of her and she was so good to him and her entire family. I was lucky to have felt her kindness. We were extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Dolores...she was such a lovely lady who was a great pal of my Dad, Aeneas Mc Donnell who also volunteered in Blackrock Clinic. They regularly enjoyed lunch and a chat afterwards.
Dolores would regularly ask Dad if he needed lifts to and from the dart station on wet days which he really appreciated..
May they enjoy a heavenly lunch together now.
