Dear Brendan, Siobhan, Michael and Niamh.

We were all saddened to hear of the loss of your darling mother Dolores.

I am sorry that we are unable to mark the passing of the funeral on Monday. I am unable to secure time off from my employer at such short notice. We will be thinking of you all on Monday morning and through the afternoon and coming days.

My mother Magdalen and I send our condolences at this difficult time. We have very fond and happy memories of Dolores through our visits to Ireland - particularly in our early years. She was always so, so proud of all four of you.

We have seen the guidance on your notice and rather than sending flowers we have each donated to the good work of the Kerry Hospice…
