Sincerest condolences to the Rooney family on the death of Dolores, may she rest in peace. I had the great fortune to have worked with her in CMOD for many years and found her a most decent person.
Remembering the brilliant Dolores Rooney (Finn College: 1960-61)
My deepest sympathy to Seamus and all who mourn Dolores. I was another one of those trainee COBOL programmers from the 70's in CDPS.
Sorry I couldn't be at the funeral.

Dear Seamus, I am so very sorry for your loss, you looked after her so well when she became ill, she really appreciated it. Cousin Dolores will be sorely missed, she was an amazingly clever, witty, creative, kind, open minded and beautiful lady, always thinking about and supporting others. I will cherish the memories of all the happy times with her since my childhood, the things she taught me, and especially of the lovely day we had together at Christmas, she was a very special lady.

My sincere condolences to Dolores' brother and family on her recent death. I knew Dolores from her early days in the old Dept of Local Government, and later our paths crossed in CMOD. She was always fun, stylish and ready to help everyone. May she rest in peace.
Dolores will be sadly missed but fondly and proudly remembered.
Her laugh and sense of fun radiated on our family, especially with our late mother Jo, Dolores’ cousin. Together they loved their trips to the Cotswolds and garden shows where there would always be a story to be told afterwards!
Dolores was like an Aunty to John and I (and later, my daughter Sorcha) we are so grateful she was part of enriching our lives.
Deepest condolences to all who treasured her. Our love to Seamus, family and friends.

Sincere condolences to all Dolores’ family & friends. I first met Dolores as she taught me the art of COBOL programming before later having the pleasure of working with her in CMOD. A leader, a colleague, a friend - all wrapped up with the Donegal lilt. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
Sincere condolences to Dolores' family on her recent loss. She was a dear friend of my mother's for many years and was always such a kind and warm person. She will be missed. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam dílís.
Dear Shemus , Dolores was a great friend to me when I came to Rialto and started chair yoga in the local centre, she came every friday with her great pal Patsy and they laughed and supported everyone in the group by being "truly present" in the real sense of caring, humility and sharing laughter. She taught me a lot and we chatted over the past year about life and her wish not to be "heroic" in battling cancer, she stood to her word and laughed and was optimistic to the end. ..I know she has returned to her true home in Gods arms , but I am selfishly very sad at this time. I will see you soon Shemus my friend. Mary
Seamus.We are heartbroken about Dolores.
We had many great holidays with the girls and more recently meeting for coffee. We will also miss her big time at the bridge table.

Our sincere condolences to you Seamus & your family and friends, on the very sad loss of Dolores. She was a wonderful woman & a great friend. I will miss our little chats. When we moved in to our house 38 years ago, Dolores ( and Esther Byrne) greeted us with fresh baked cakes and wine, and we just knew we were home and had friends for life.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Her biggest worry was leaving you behind.
Losing a dear friend is losing shared laughter, understanding and years of treasured memories.
I will always remember the countless holidays we shared together, the friendly debates and the joy of simply spending time in each other’s company. Our holidays shared together made those moments special — full of warmth, stories, and traditions that I will carry with me always.
Her friendship meant so much to me. Holidays will never feel quite the same, and the holidays will hold a tender space where Dolores should be. But I am deeply grateful for every memory, every smile, and every bridge night where we met in Templeogue will be short a very special person
You will be missed more than words can say, but never forgotten. ♡

My condolences to her brother, Seamus, her extended family and her many friends . She will indeed be missed.

I first met Dolores in 1999 when I started work in CMOD. She was so full of energy, just a human dynamo. From around 2004 I worked directly with her and we had a fantastic working relationship. She always took time to ask about home and family life and the humanity she showed made her such a special person. I'm very saddened to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.
It’s with great sadness that I remember my dear friend Dolores. We shared many years of friendship and worked together in Dublin. She will always hold a special place in my heart and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Seamus, and her family at this difficult time
So sorry to hear of the passing of Dolores. As a close friend of my parents and as a godmother to myself, I’ll alway remember her positivity, charm and warmth. Condolences to Seamus and all who knew Dolores. May she rest in peace.
I was very sad to hear of Dolores' passing. I worked with her for only a few short years in CMOD, but I have fond memories of her good humour, kindness and wise words, many of which I still think of years later. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
I met Dolores in a Spanish class in Dundrum and afterwards in another class. She had a great sense of humour and was always cheerful and fun to be with. She will be missed.
A mentee and colleague of Dolores for many years in CMOD. A special lady that I have great memories of. May she rest in peace.

Seamus my deepest sympathiest o you at this sad time. Dolores' passing is a huge loss. She was a valued colleague of my late father Harry and became a treasured and greatly supportive family friend for many years. I will be seeing you over the next couple of days but just wanted to record, on here, what a special and generous person Dolores was. May she rest in peace.
We were all very sad to hear of Dolores passing & wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Rooney family. Dolores will be sadly missed from our group. She was a talented artist & a lovely friend, fondest memories of our happy times painting & chatting. Rest in peace Dolores.
My condolences to you, Seamus, and to all of Dolores family on her untimely passing. She loved her garden and her game of bridge, but I don't know in which order. I have one of her Penstemon cuttings flourishing here in our garden in Tipperary and I will always remember her. May she finally rest in peace.
Dolores will be missed by all her friends from Bridge, the Civil Service and many more.
My thoughts are with you Seamus.
I am in Spain this week so will not be able to share my condolences in person.
Please know we all have happy memories of Dolores which will make the burden easier over the next while. I hope your happy memories can help you at this sad time. Conor.
