Ethna and I are so sad to hear of Dolores passing. Of course we had known her through Bridge but I then met her in Mount Carmel Hospital almost 30 years ago and we got to know each other. Dolores was always such a warm and cheerful lady with such a positive outlook - it was always a pleasure to meet her and I know she will be sadly missed. Our sincere sympathy to all who mourn Dolores - may she rest in peace
Dolores was a beautiful neighbour and friend. She gave me so much of her wise advice over the years. I will miss her and our chats. Rest in Peace
So sorry to hear Dolores has died may she rest,in peace
She was the first person on RIP last year to sympathise with me when my husband died. She was a lovely friendly person I am sure she is gone straight to heaven.
My sincere sympathy to her family
Deepest condolence to Seamus an and to Dolores' extended family and friends. I have very fond memories of working with Dolores in CMOD - she was so warm and encouraging and always had a smile. Rest in peace dear Dolores.
Deepest condolences to Dolores’s family and friends, very saddened to hear of her passing. I worked with Dolores in CMOD she was a friend, a mentor, a lady, a great laugh and great company. She will be missed, may she rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences to you Seamus & your family and friends, on the very sad loss of Dolores. She was a wonderful woman & a great friend. I will miss our little chats. When we moved in to our house 38 years ago, Dolores ( and Esther Byrne) greeted us with fresh baked cakes and wine, and we just knew we were home and had friends for life.
Dolores passing is a very sad day for us all. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Ar deish dé go raibh a hanam. 🙏
Seamus
I’m so sorry for your loss. Her biggest worry was leaving you behind.
Losing a dear friend is losing shared laughter, understanding and years of treasured memories.
I will always remember the countless holidays we shared together, the friendly debates and the joy of simply spending time in each other’s company. Our holidays shared together made those moments special — full of warmth, stories, and traditions that I will carry with me always.
Her friendship meant so much to me. Holidays will never feel quite the same, and the holidays will hold a tender space where Dolores should be. But I am deeply grateful for every memory, every smile, and every bridge night where we met in Templeogue will be short a very special person
You will be missed more than words can say, but never forgotten. ♡
I am very sad to hear about the passing of Dolores. She and her good friend, Patricia Tyrrell, taught me to write Cobol programme code back in the 80's. She was a lovely lady with a great sense of humour and a natural wisdom. I worked with her for many years and always enjoyed her company. May her soul rest in Peace. My condolences to her brother, Seamus, her extended family and her many friends . She will indeed be missed.
Deepest condolences to all Dolores family and friends. What a lovely, intelligent and interesting person. She will be much missed.
Condolences to the family and friends of Dolores on her passing. I worked with her in CDPS many years ago and very much enjoyed her company and her good humour.
Deepest sympaties to you Seamus on the passing of Dolores
She was a special friend to Maire and myself since coming to Dublin all those years ago.She was Godmother to ourdaughter Caitriona and was always inour thoughts every Christmas
May her soul rest in eternal peace
I first met Dolores in 1999 when I started work in CMOD. She was so full of energy, just a human dynamo. From around 2004 I worked directly with her and we had a fantastic working relationship. She always took time to ask about home and family life and the humanity she showed made her such a special person. I'm very saddened to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.
It’s with great sadness that I remember my dear friend Dolores. We shared many years of friendship and worked together in Dublin. She will always hold a special place in my heart and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Seamus, and her family at this difficult time
So sorry to hear of the passing of Dolores. As a close friend of my parents and as a godmother to myself, I’ll alway remember her positivity, charm and warmth. Condolences to Seamus and all who knew Dolores. May she rest in peace.
I was very sad to hear of Dolores' passing. I worked with her for only a few short years in CMOD, but I have fond memories of her good humour, kindness and wise words, many of which I still think of years later. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
I met Dolores in a Spanish class in Dundrum and afterwards in another class. She had a great sense of humour and was always cheerful and fun to be with. She will be missed.
A mentee and colleague of Dolores for many years in CMOD. A special lady that I have great memories of. May she rest in peace.

Seamus my deepest sympathiest o you at this sad time. Dolores' passing is a huge loss. She was a valued colleague of my late father Harry and became a treasured and greatly supportive family friend for many years. I will be seeing you over the next couple of days but just wanted to record, on here, what a special and generous person Dolores was. May she rest in peace.
We were all very sad to hear of Dolores passing & wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Rooney family. Dolores will be sadly missed from our group. She was a talented artist & a lovely friend, fondest memories of our happy times painting & chatting. Rest in peace Dolores.
My condolences to you, Seamus, and to all of Dolores family on her untimely passing. She loved her garden and her game of bridge, but I don't know in which order. I have one of her Penstemon cuttings flourishing here in our garden in Tipperary and I will always remember her. May she finally rest in peace.
Dolores will be missed by all her friends from Bridge, the Civil Service and many more.
My thoughts are with you Seamus.
I am in Spain this week so will not be able to share my condolences in person.
Please know we all have happy memories of Dolores which will make the burden easier over the next while. I hope your happy memories can help you at this sad time. Conor.
