I was very sorry to hear of Domhnall’s passing. We were second cousins but I knew Domhnall especially through Engineers Ireland and our shared time trying to play golf. He was always a pleasure to be around—thoughtful, good-natured, and always in good humour. He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him. He made an immense contribution to the development of the engineering profession through Engineers Ireland. He was a tireless worker on committee and a huge support to the Presidents of that organisation. He never lost his sense of humour and will be sorely missed by his many friends.
