In December 2017, when I retired, Dominic dressed as Santy and made it very special for me. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Go raibh leaba aige imeasc na Naomh.

It has taken me days to try and put into words about the loss of our "Tom" and its seldom im stuck for words, You have been in my life for as long as i can remember, and i cannot put into words how lucky i am to have been part of the adopted family Fallon household. From early days when we would drive ya mad when you had just come in from work, to later years when we would drive ya mad that you had to bring us home in the back of a car on a night out. Or calling out to me as i left your hse, " enjoy your night out ill put your name in the pot for breakfast ". I will never be able to thank you for all the love kindness care and support you have given me and Lee over the years. I have laughed and cried so much over the last few days of the stories and memories we have shared,My heart is broke in two for all the Fallon family. We will love you forever,

I've waited a few days hoping some profound words would come to me, but they haven't. Im heartbroken. To say he was one of the best men I have ever met doesn't do him justice. Some of the fondest memories of my life were spent in the Fallon household where I have always always treated like family (even if I did break one of Geraldine's ornaments on my first visit to Martin Savage) Most of those wonderful times were spent with Dominic. Whether it was watching Dracula while he told Podge and I his wild ghost stories or watching football while I tried my best to guess who the teams were, there was never a dull moment. I'm sure the first thing everyone who has met him would tell you about Dominic is what great craic he was. I think it is that warmth and humour I'll remember most of all. Over the past few days, I've found myself smiling more than crying because when I think of him and the Fallons and Kennedys in general, I have nothing but happy memories. Few men, and few families can boast such a legacy.

Dani And I send our deepest sympathies to Geraldine, Edel, Sinead, Orla and Padraig. And also to John, Jen, Sidney, Caoimhe, Erin, Sadbh and Ruadhan as well as the whole Fallon family. I hope you all can find some confort in the outpouring of love that everyone has shown for Dominic. He truly was a Sligo institution and the town won't be the same without him.
