Dominic Foran

I have such lovely memories of Dominic. We worked together in Vincent's. We had in common that he knew my daughter Maura and Dave and he always asked how their little girl Annie and their twins were. He tried to educate me about different types of music but I am tone deaf so we were getting nowhere. We had so many laughs. He was such a lovely pleasant person and so respectful of everybody. My sincere condolences to his mom Eileen his dad Derry and to his brother John and his sister Marie.
Dominic will look after you all from his heavenly home. May he rest in eternal peace. Mary

My sincerest condolences to John, Marie, Eileen, Derry and wider family and friends of Dom. You are, and will continue to be, in my thoughts. I can only hope that the outpouring of love and respect that you have witnessed following his passing will be some small solace to you.

Dominic was always gentle, kind, approachable and chatty on my encounters with him. His interest in the world around him, and deep thirst for knowledge in the areas of language and music in particular, were a beautiful part of his personality. He will be deeply missed.

My deepest condolences to Maire, John, Eileen and Derry. Dom was a true gent with a refreshingly positive disposition and above all a good friend. A conversation with Dom could encompass 90s wrestling, philosophy and the Simpsons. He was always eager to joke, chat and ream off a quote.

"In sorrow we must go, but not in despair."

A gentleman and kind soul, his intellect was awesome. Dom knew so much about everything. I will cherish the fond memories that I have of him. The first to reach Carrauntoohil when we were struggling behind. He kept spirits high by talking about wrestling all the way up Torc Mountain. Dom was never short of words. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends. Condolences Eileen, Derry, John and Marie and all of his extended family.

I got to know Dominic very well in St Brendans and we then studied by the same course in UCC. An extremely intelligent man who was a fountain of knowledge on many subjects, he had an incredible and extensive vocabulary. He was also brilliant company and very witty. If you ever needed assistance with anything, Dom was the man to ask, he was always most helpful.
