So sad to hear of the death of Dominic, whom I’ve known for over 70 years. He was a man of integrity whom I felt privileged to call a friend. Dominic hurled with O Donovan Rossas, a team founded by a group of young friends, all those decades ago. Sadly, O Donovan Rossas are also now gone. Dominic was unique amongst men who was always true to his principles. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him. Sincere condolences to his children and family. To his children, you can feel proud to have had Dominic as a father.

I had worked alongside Dominic in the Examiner many years ago when life was a bit different to what it is now. Every day was different when many world issues were discussed, analysed, solved occasionally and laughter and good humour were the norm. He was a fountain of knowledge leaving you to question your own thought process but he was above all a wonderful and kind human being,generous with his time and respected by all his work colleagues.
